Rainfall in October was only 1.52 inches, compared to a norm of 4.34 inches.  This is a widening of the year-to-date gap between normal and actual.

 

Year-to-date through October, rainfall has totaled 27.82 inches, which is 6.36 inches, or over 18% lower than normal.

 

Coupled with this, the mean temperature has continued above normal in each month since July.
